Storms and progress

We've had some storms come through in the last couple days. The worst one was Wednesday night (morning) about 4:00 a.m. I was asleep when the storm woke me up. And I found out that Allie is afraid of storms. Usually she sleeps at the foot of my bed, but when I woke up during the storm, she was right up against me and I had my arm around her. She licked my face when I woke up. It was so sweet!

Here is a picture that was taken right outside the front of my building after the storm.

It was a fairly good sized and pretty tree. I'm sorry to see it gone. The storms last night weren't quite as bad, thank goodness.

I finished another piece that I'm going to make into a floss ring tag. Can't remember the name of it, but it was a freebie.
And here is a picture of the progress I've made on A Quaker Prayer.

Sorry it's not a better picture. I took it while it was on my lap at night time. I'm close to being done with it!

I've also been crocheting quite a bit lately. I've finished another afghan and started yet another one. The finished one is in ecru and the pattern was called lacy shells. It's very pretty and I think I'm going to keep it for myself. The one I've started is in red and it's called filet diamonds. It's very easy to do. And I've gotten some ideas for more afghans. I have several (5 or 6) containers full of yarn that I want to use up so I can buy more!

It's a cloudy, gloomy day here, so I'm off to visit my LNS - the frame and charts they ordered for me are in. Yay!

I have no idea what "labels" are for, but I'm going to see what happens when I fill in that option at the bottom of my compose page.

What do you think of my additions and changes to my blog? I've been having a lot of fun changing things around. Watch for it to change as I play around more. I've been doing it from work when I'm not busy, which is a lot of the time lately.

See ya!~~
